While United Way of West Central Connecticut is looking for someone with a passion for marketing, social media, and fundraising, we believe that learning how our organization has a positive impact on the communities we serve will be beneficial to anyone willing to learn. Professionally and personally, people may find value in how a nonprofit operates, the small budgets they use, the persistent quest for funding sources, how they interact with businesses and community organizations, etc. Understanding and maintaining a Social Media presence is an important goal for most career paths. Additionally, building on communication and presentation styles would be helpful to our applicants and their future careers.
Applicants should be skilled in social media content and the creation of materials, have an understanding of marketing plans and fundraising or have a willingness to learn.
